The 32nd Jose Rizal Model Students of the Philippines (JRMSP) is a premier search for the most outstanding model students of the Philippines returns after two years as the Knights of Rizal launches the 32nd Jose Rizal Model Students of the Philippines (JRMSP) last December 2021.

The JRMSP Committee, headed by Supreme Chancellor Sir Armando Cazzola, KGOR, invites all colleges and universities in the country to send the best students, exemplifying academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement.
The annual Jose Rizal Model Students of the Philippines is initiated by the Knights of Rizal, the sole order of knighthood in the Philippines. The Order was granted a legislative charter by the late President Elpidio Quirino as a non-sectarian, non-partisan, non-racial civic, patriotic, and cultural organization under Republic Act 646.
The Order of the Knights of Rizal Negros Oriental Area is so happy that two of our Negrosanon Student Leaders is this year's awardee for the JRMSP.

Niel Anthony E. Lajot, a senior student of Silliman University’s (SU) College of Mass Communication, was named the Most Outstanding Jose Rizal Model Student of the Philippines.
Lajot currently serves as the governor of the College of Mass Communication student body and president of Kapunungan sa mga Mass Communicators, the College’s student organization. He was the editor-in-chief of the Weekly Sillimanian in the SY 2020-2021 and was a college representative in the SU Student Government (SUSG) in 2019-2020. He founded the SU League of Hosts, served as the founding chairperson of the SUSG Resolutions Committee in 2019-2020, and was an intern at The Freeman. He was also named SU Freshman Student of the Year in 2019 and SU Sophomore Student of the Year in 2020.

Amzelle Diego Laspiñas a senior accountancy student of St. Paul University Dumaguete College of Business and Information Technology, was named as one of the Top Ten Jose Rizal Model Students of the Philippines for Rizalian Year 2021.
Laspiñas is an active student leader both religious and in campus leadership. She was the Paulinian Ambassador of Goodwill in 2017 and 2018 YMCA Outstanding Delegate in the National YMCA Student Congress in Baguio City. She was also Corps of Sponsors of the ROTC Unit, President Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants Neg.Or. Federation, Student Leader of the Paulinian Supreme Student Government, Head Captain of the Paulinian Debating Society, Volunteer in the SPUD Community Extension Program, Contributor Writer of The Paulinian Student Paper, Public Relation Unit (PRU) and Delegate to the Ayala Young Leaders Congress (AYLC).
The two JRMSP awardees were mentored by two of Negros' well-known Rizal Life, Works and Writings Professors Renante Lingcong from Silliman University and Penn T. Larena from St. Paul University Dumaguete both officers of the Knights of Rizal Negros Oriental Area .
